Had an appointment in Northbrook after work and decided to take the long route home and pop in to see the tulips at the Chicago Botanic Garden. I wandered for a bit (till I got too cold) and was surprised at how many flowers were already in bloom. Oh and mom - this post is for you! All flowers! :)

Actually busted out the Mark II to go shoot these lovelies today. It felt good. Actually feels easy compared to the iPhone ... anyone else feel like that? Oh and took Lightroom 4 for it's first spin - so far I like!!

(25) something pink :: I almost forgot about today's photo... thank goodness for the flowers across the street from the office and some afternoon sun! The weather has been absolutely perfect the last week and supposed to last thru the weekend. Gotta get out and enjoy some of these beauties before they are gone!

Just saw an awesome set from one of the former Chicago Photobloggers, Josh - he's moved to Portland now. I love being able to see another part of the country via his photography - he's very active in shooting his surroundings between weddings (he's a wedding photographer wtih his wife Melissa). Tulips as far as the eyes can see at the Woodburn Tulip Festival. Looks just like Kukenhof in the Netherlands! Love it Josh!! Makes me want to visit the festival sometime..
