30 days of gratitude : twenty one

30 days of gratitude :: Day 21 :: where I sleep ... I hopped out of bed, came back and there was Phoebe.  It was a super gloomy day, so hard to get out of bed and get motivated to do all the stuff I need to do..  It took me a while, but I ended up getting quite a lot done.  Still doesn't mean I'm ready for the week ahead.  :)

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.   (30 day challenge)

Phoebe

Crazy Phoebe... she makes me laugh and laugh when she spots that little bit of milk in the bottom a the glass.  She's way smarter than most cats.  Most would try to stick their head down into the glass and give up because they couldn't get to it, or worse, knock the glass over.  Not Phoebe, oh no.  She took one look at that glass and said, I know how I can get that...  This was the first time I saw her stick her little paw down into the glass and bring it up to lick the milk off.  It makes me giggle every single time.  

and so starts the holiday

I fired up the fireplace for the first time tonight - it's finally gotten cold and yucky outside so what better way to spend Thanksgiving eve than cooking and relaxing by the fire?

Snapped these photos of the Phoebs while testing my new remote shutter release for the 40D. I have been using a wireless version for a while and it's finally starting to crap out. I was looking at the Canon brand release and it's almost $200 (yuck!) and then I found a little knock off gem on Amazon with very good user reviews. The cord could be a bit longer, but so far it's been wicked easy to program and seems to work wonderfully! Hopefully this will spark a little interest in the camera again to get me through the last few weeks of my 52 week project!! Even I'm getting tired of the iPhone shots.

In the spirit of the holiday I thought I'd jot down a few things that I'm thankful for... so, in no particular order, here goes ... good friends . eastern medicine . massage . water . pandora . family . my mother who has been taking such good care of her mother while she's been unable to do so herself . Martha Stewart for her awesome recipes . bloggers (yes YOU) . for having a job that provides me with the means to do what I want when I want . finding great gifts for great people . and, of course, my kitties! Gobble. Gobble.
